How to Reach

🚆 By Train

There is no direct train service to Tirap. The nearest railway stations are Dibrugarh (120 km), Tinsukia (110 km), or Naharkatia (70 km) in Assam. From these places, daily bus/taxi service is available to Khonsa, the district headquarters. Travel time: approximately 3 hours from Dibrugarh/Tinsukia and 2 hours from Naharkatia. Rajdhani Express and Brahmaputra Express run from New Delhi to Dibrugarh/Tinsukia via Guwahati. Train bookings can be done online at www.irctc.co.in.

🚌 By Bus

Both government and private deluxe bus services operate between Guwahati and Dibrugarh/Tinsukia, including night services. From Dibrugarh or Tinsukia, APSTS buses run daily to Khonsa. Many private taxis and buses also operate on this route. Khonsa is connected to Itanagar, the state capital, via a daily direct APSTS bus service. ✈️ By Air

Dibrugarh is connected to Guwahati by daily flights. From Dibrugarh, taxi or bus service is available. Dibrugarh is also connected to Itanagar by helicopter service .
